In this article, I’m going to share with you exactly what a PLR is and how it can be used to save mad time in your business.
You’re probably wondering what the heck is PLR?
Well, PLR stands for Private Label Rights. It basically means that you buy the rights to content from an author and you are able to customize it and change it in any way you purchase the rights for. For example, if I wrote a series of articles and then sold them, the person who bought it can use it however they please as long as I give them the right to.
For the past year, I’ve been using PLR products as a base to creating content, courses, webinars, emails, etc… Not only have I used PLR products to create my own content, I’ve also sold PLR products. Most of the PLR products you will find on the web also come with an affiliate program that allows you to earn commission for selling the program or product as is. Isn’t that cool? If you don’t feel like putting in the time of re-branding the content, you can make money just selling it the way it is.
When working with PLR, the original writer creates the content and then sells it for a one time fee. Usually ($7 – $47) PLR products come with the product (ebook, course, etc..) It also comes with the lead magnet to attract the right buyers. It comes with the graphics, sales pages, articles, emails, and so much more. It basically comes with the complete package. Once purchased, the buyer is able to alter it and distribute it.
The rights, however, can vary from product to product and writer to writer so it’s very important that when you are purchasing PLR products, you read through the rights and be sure of what you can do with the content. We will talk all about that in our next post.
